🚨4 injured in Cessna plane crash near Iba Airport

Four people were reported injured Friday after a Cessna plane crashed in an agricultural area near Iba Airport in Zambales.

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) is currently investigating the incident involving the training plane with Aircraft Registry RP-C2211.

“The aircraft was conducting a training flight from Subic when the incident occurred. All four individuals on board are conscious and are being transported to a nearby hospital for further medical evaluation,” CAAP information officer Bea Bernardo said.

CAAP has yet to provide further details about the incident, but assured that updates will be available as more information comes in.

Its information officer said the Aircraft Accident Investigation and Inquiry Board (AAIIB) has been notified and will conduct an investigation to determine the cause of the incident.

“This is in accordance with the directive of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and the Department of Transportation to ensure public safety,” Bernardo said.

Additionally, the agency stated that it cannot disclose the name of the flying school operating the involved aircraft due to data privacy regulations.
