HOUSTON – What would you do if you found someone peeping on your daughter?
Phyllis Pena doesn’t have to wonder anymore, because she did something.
Last month Pena saw Zane Hawkins, 19, peeking into her 15-year-old daughter’s room.
Pena says she called police but when police got there, Hawkins tried to run.
That’s when this mama bear jumped into action and tackled him.
Both she and her daughter held the guy down until police caught up.
“I figured at least if I could get him down, tripped him up, whatever then they would have a chance to get caught up,” Pena said. “The cop fist bumped me, and he was like, ‘hey, so I heard the Texans are looking for a new linebacker.’”
The suspect was booked into jail and is facing charges of possession of a controlled substance, evading arrest and resisting arrest
